Does Music Skills Lab replace the teacher?
No. Music Skills Lab is not intended to replace a teacher or operate as an autonomous examiner. It produces diagnostic evidence and draft recommendations; a teacher reviews, edits and adds judgement before anything reaches the student as feedback.
What can the software actually detect?
Working from MIDI and task-level evidence, it can estimate things like incorrect notes, timing variation, hesitation, rushing, pulse instability and repeated mistakes. These are estimates and starting points for a teacher, not final verdicts.
Can it assess tone or acoustic playing?
No. The analysis is MIDI-first, so it cannot assess acoustic tone quality. Judgement of tone, phrasing and interpretation remains with the teacher.
Who is it for?
Teachers, tutors, schools, academies and directly-enrolled learners. The platform is multi-tenant, so an individual teacher and a large academy can both organise their own students and material.

Grade 1 piano gives a well-understood, structured starting point covering theory, aural, reading, writing, sight-reading, scales, rhythm and performance — a solid foundation before the approach extends further.
